The Central Shooters Inc (CSI) range is located in the basement of Youthtown at 68a Nelson Street in central Auckland. We operate a 25m long indoor range suitable for .22 calibre rifles and centre-fire pistols. The range operates with electrically returned targets and has 10 shooting bays.
Tuesday 7:00pm - 9:00pm CSI Club Members Only.
Wednesday 7:00pm - 9:00pm CSI Club Members Only.
Thursday 7:00pm - 9:00pm CSI Club Members, Visitor/Casual Shooters (NO BOOKING).
Sunday 10:00am - 12:00pm CSI Club Members Only, and open to ISSF members of other clubs.
For individuals who want to try shooing, the session is Thursday night 7pm to 9pm. As this is a busy night, we run this in 2 one hour sessions, 7-8 and 8-9 and shooting starts promptly on the hour, so be there 10-15 minutes early. Cost $15 for the hour which includes 50 rounds of .22 ammo, gun, targets, earmuff, instructors etc. Additional ammo is $6 for 50 rounds of .22. CASH ONLY
Visitors who do not have a firearms licence may only shoot under direct supervision from a qualified club member. If you have a firearms licence you are welcome to bring your own gun which must be bagged with ammo and firearms licence carried separately from the gun.
The clubs owns .22 bolt action rifles and .22 semi auto pistols. After you have attended the club a few times using rifles, and you show a clear understanding of the clubs safety procedures and you demonstrate safe gun handling skills, the Range Officer will determine if you can progress onto pistols. We do not take bookings. Group bookings may be available on request.

Shooting using .22 bolt action rifles is a popular activity for scouts, schools, birthday parties, stag parties, corporate teams etc. The maximum we can cater for is 20 shooters. The cost below includes 50 rounds of .22 ammo, rifles, targets, earmuffs, instructors etc.
Group Booking eg; birthday, corporate, stag: $20 per person. Youth Group Booking eg; registered scouts, school, church under 18 years of age: $10 per person. Members are engaged in a wide range of shooting disciplines. These include ISSF Target Pistol (Olympic style), NRA and IPSC (Action Pistol), Small Bore Rifle, Centrefire Rifle, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, 3 gun matches (rifle, pistol and shotgun), skeet and trap shooting and various hunting activities as well.
Membership Application and Club FeesAnyone wishing to join the club must first attend at least 3 club shoots and demonstrate a clear understanding of our safety standards. Then complete a Central Shooters Inc Membership Application Form ask the "Duty RO" to sign it then post to CSI with photo ID for consideration at the next committee meeting.
Club fees (and PNZ fees if applicable) are due only once your probationary membership is approved, until that time you are required to pay casual range fees. The clubs financial year is 1st July to 30th June each year. Members joining part way through the year may pay proportionately.
The range is available to Central Shooters members using their own key during the hours of 9am- 9.00pm weekdays, weekends and public holidays, unless pre-booked for other groups. Permanent BookingsThese are available only to groups that satisfy Central Shooters Inc range safety and operational requirements. CSI Range Regulations and Safety Rules must be adhered to at all times.
Permanent bookings fee is to be paid for a full term in advance.
Permanent bookings do not represent in any way a lease or rental agreement, and cannot be sold or given to any other party.
ParkingPlease NO PARKING in the Youthtown car park, you could be towed away and at your expense. There is street parking on both sides of Nelson St which is a one way street. Meter parking Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm and "free" meter parking outside those hours and on Sunday and Public holidays.*please include who the deposit is from*
